There was a significant difference between patients and controls in the values for serum (P = 0.005 [Mann-Whitney U test]) and urine (P <0.001) and a significant decrease in the levels of sTNFR type I in both serum (P <0.05 [Dunnett’s t test]) and urine (P <0.05) at 72 h.
