Years when the reserves were gazetted are in parentheses, and the number of reserves declared in each time frame is indicated after “Amani”. The light bars refer to the endemic gap species, where 0 per cent of their range is covered. Other colours show the percentage of the endemic species range covered by the reserves. It goes form light brown, between 0 and 2 percent is covered, yellow between 2 to 5 percent covered, orange between 5 and 10 percent, dark red, between 10 and 20 percent, dark brown, between 20 and 50 percent, and black, where more than 50 percent of the species range is covered by the reserves.
