Analysis of spherulites™ by gel electrophoresis. In lane 1, the free oligonucleotide (49 ng) was loaded on the gel. In lane 2, the free oligonucleotide (49 ng) was treated with Triton X-100 (10%). In lanes 3–6, the oligonucleotide was associated with spherulites™ and treated (lanes 4 and 6) or not treated (lanes 3 and 5) with Triton X-100 (10%). Spherulites™ purified by ultracentrifugation (40 000 r.p.m., 15 min) were loaded on lanes 3 and 4. Oligreen^® (0.5% v/v) was included in the agarose gel (1.5 % w/v). S represents the position of the wells.
