Statistical analysis of the continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) group showed that females had a greater improvement in the SF-36 Vitality score than males (mean change 9.4 (95% CI 6.8–12.0) versus 6.0 (95% CI 4.3–7.7); p=0.0343), after adjustments for baseline SF-36 Vitality score and average daily usage (table 4).
