The principles of reinforcement learning. Reinforcement learning represents a branch of machine learning where an agent (acting entity) determines how to make decisions by performing actions within a specific environment to amplify a cumulative reward metric. Through a process of trial and error, the agent experiences penalties or rewards for its actions, aiming to formulate a policy, essentially a guide to deciding what action to take in a given scenario.
