To circumvent a potential sampling bias, the analysis was restricted to emm-types that represented ≥5 % of the dataset and occurred at least once in 3 or more years. Note that invasive isolates were collected only in years 2007 to 2017 from the HNELHD. Non-invasive isolates were collected only in years 2019 to 2022 from the ISLHD. GAS isolates were not collected as part of this study during 2018.
