acaA− cells undergo a normal reduction in velocity in response to the rapid addition of 10−5 M cAMP. The concentration of 10−5 M rather than 10−6 M was used to obtain a maximum response in acaA− cells (see text). Cells were perfused with buffer in a perfusion chamber for 6 min and then treated with buffer plus 10−5 M cAMP for seven additional minutes.
