Oocytes were injected with 45 ng of the indicated cRNA and were cultured for 3 to 4 d in Frog Ringer's solution as described in “Materials and Methods.”
Bath solutions consisted of 10 mm HEPES-NaOH, pH 7.6, 6 mm CaCl2, 2 mm MgCl2, and 100 mm of the sodium salt of the indicated anion.
Reversal potentials were calculated from I-V plots of recordings similar to those in Figure 4A.
