Acceptable values of GJscale for different worm sizes. As a worm grows, the distance from head to tail grows; maintaining global communication thus requires high GJ density. The upper (orange) curve is the upper limit on GJ density for a worm of a given size before ΔVmem collapses. The lower (blue) curve is the lowest GJ density before multiple islands form, allowing a HTH worm to be stable.
