Specific interaction of SNURF and TATA-binding protein in vitro. ³⁵S-labeled TBP, TAF_II70, TAF_II100, and luciferase were synthesized by translation in vitro and incubated with GST alone (lanes 2, 6, 9, and 12), GST-SNURF (lane 3, 7, 10, and 13), or GST-SNURF(29–129) (lane 4) adsorbed to glutathione-Sepharose, after which the matrices were washed, and the bound proteins were analyzed as described in Materials and Methods. Lanes 1, 5, 8, and 11 correspond to 20% of the input amounts of ³⁵S-labeled proteins.
