Note: Values within parentheses are 95% CIs.

a

Age-standardized by the direct method to the US 2000 census population using the age groups 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60–74 years. Predicted 10-year risk of developing cardiovascular disease were based on the predicted systolic blood pressure using multivariable linear regression models developed from NHANES 2005–2010.

b

Stable estimates of risk score prevalence ≥20% for stroke could not be obtained due to the limited sample size.

c

Percentage in parentheses is the survey response rate.

CHD, coronary heart disease; CVD, cardiovascular disease; NHANES, National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
