The effects of normalizing second-order term f02(x), with the zeroth-order term, f00(x). The two functions are highly correlated (ρ=0.87 for 8D, ρ=0.91 for 4D and ρ=0.96 for 2D) and the resulting normalized functions, f(x)=[f11(x)+f02(x)]/f00(x) are much less peaked.
