Table 1. Experimental beam intensities for ‘zero’ loss, single plasmon (17 eV), double plasmon (34 eV) and Si L 2,3 core loss (100 eV) energy-filtered diffraction patterns.

The total intensity for the diffraction pattern at a given energy loss is normalized to unity. The intensity ratios for a given Bragg beam are calculated with respect to the unscattered 000 beam.
