MCF-7 cells were treated with RA (1 μM) or IFN-β (500 U/ml) or the combination for 5 days. The cells were fixed and stained with propidium iodide after RNase A treatment. Fluorescence-activated cell sorter and cell cycle analyses were performed. Dead cells are indicated by a solid arrow.
