Single diets included two plants of the same species. Times within the same column sharing the same letter are not significantly different from one another (1^st instar: F_10,522 = 7.383, p < 0.001; 2^nd instar: F_10,402 = 6.094, p < 0.001; 3^rd instar: F_10,298 = 2.143, p = 0.021; 4^th instar: F_9,180 = 4.281, p < 0.001; ANOVA, Tukey HSD). No pairwise differences for third instar treatments were significant. N/A, not applicable; no SLF in this treatment survived to the fourth nymphal instar stage.
