Relationship between positive QuantiFERON-TB result and hypertension: Stratified by demographic and clinical characteristics among US adults, NHANES 2011–2012. This figure shows results from the analyses with statistical interaction term included in the robust Poisson models to evaluate the joint effect between tuberculosis infection and other key risk factors on hypertension. We selected these ‘moderator’ variables by identifying common risk factors for cardiovascular diseases from published studies (eg, age, race, body mass index, country of birth, smoking status and diabetes status).
