Axial T2-weighted images showed an occipital bone defect at the foramen magnum (C) associated with spine dysraphism at the upper cervical vertebrae (B). Part of the cephalocele is seen as well (A and C) containing a very small hypoplastic cerebellum and large amount of CSF of increased signal intensity on T2-weighted images surrounded with meninges. Note that the unmyelinated white matter appears hyperintense on T2-weighted imaging (B and C).
