Cleavage of cellular proteins by caspases during Sindbis virus-induced apoptosis. BHK cells were mock infected or infected (MOI, 10) with wild-type Sindbis virus strain AR339. Lysates were collected at 24 h postinfection and immunoblotted with three different affinity-purified antibodies obtained from the sera of individuals with autoimmune disease. The positions of intact NuMA, PARP, and U1-70kDa proteins and their cleavage products are indicated. The results are representative of two independent experiments.
