Categorical variables are described with numbers and percentages and differences between patients with type A and type B aortic dissection were analysed with χ2 test. Continuous variables are described with medians and ranges (min–max) and differences between patients with type A and type B aortic dissection were analysed using Mann-Whitney U test. A p value below 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
