Table 2.

Study participant demographics

Subject Sex Age, year Congenital or traumatic Level of amputation Prosthesis used (hrs per day) Years with multiarticulated hands DASH score
1 M 34 Traumatic TR bilateral 16 5 8.62
2 M 35 Traumatic TR unilateral 10 4 46.55
3 F 49 Traumatic TR unilateral 12 0 35

The study evaluated two users who have actively used multiarticulating hands (subjects 1 and 2) and one user who had never used a multiarticulating hand (subject 3). All subjects were transradial (TR) unilateral amputees. Lower DASH scores are indicative of lower perception of disability with prosthesis.
