After incubation of transfected cells at the indicated culture temperatures for 48 h, cell-free supernatants were collected and monitored for RT activity at the indicated assay temperatures. Each value is the average of duplicate experiments.

p24 levels were determined from the same cell-free supernatants used for the RT assays. The value for p24^gag released from cells transfected with wild-type virus at 37°C was arbitrarily set at 100%. Each value represents an average of duplicate experiments.
