The top 40 differentially-present proteins in calcified AV displayed in a heat map for visualization (also listed in Table 1). The proteins were grouped according to their primary biological functions using a representative color scheme on the outer most rim. Each concentric ring represents one individual AV sample. The color spectrum indicates the fold changes of the GAPDH-adjusted emPAI values in calcific samples relative to non-calcific samples, where red represents up-regulation in calcific samples.
