Exposure to sublethal concentrations of saxitoxin decreases the response to tactile stimuli in zebrafish larvae during the first 7 days post-fertilisation. Each of the different treatments consisted of four replicates including 10 embryos. Exposure began when the embryos were in the germ-ring stage (6 hpf). The mechanosensory response is plotted as mean ± SD. Significant differences are plotted by symbols (▲, Δ, ■, □, ●, ○, ɵ) between different STX concentrations at the same point. Equal symbols indicate significant differences.
