Immunofluorescence analyses of MLV Gag and Env precursor proteins in DRG neurons. Several parallel DRG cultures were infected with recombinant SFV carrying the genes for MLV Gag and Env either separately or together, as indicated to the left. After incubation, the cultures were stained with anti-MLV Gag (α gag) or anti-MLV Env (α env) antibodies, as indicated at the top. The ratios given to the left indicate the ratio of Gag to Env proteins as determined by quantitation of radioactive bands in gel analyses of samples from parallel cultures.
