Triage and screening role of artificial intelligence–driven
computer-aided diagnosis for tuberculosis (TB) using chest radiography. In
the TB triage situation, chest radiography can be applied as an initial
examination for individuals visiting a health care institution. Individuals
with positive chest radiographs would be referred for confirmative
examination, such as rapid molecular diagnostic test, whereas those with
negative chest radiographs would be deferred from further evaluation for TB
diagnosis. In the TB screening situation, chest radiography can be applied
to high-risk individuals who do not seek health care, for active
identification of patients with TB.
