A) Alkaline comet assay measures of peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) DNA damage formation (% Tail DNA) following 20 Gy FLASH (2 kGy/s) or conventional dose rate (CONV, 0.1 Gy/s) irradiation over 0.25–21% oxygen tension. Data expressed as the mean % Tail DNA of three slides (n = 3); error bars indicate standard deviation of the means for each experimental condition.
