Values are number of participants (percentage). This analysis included untreated participants only. White coat hypertension was conventional hypertension in the presence of a normal ambulatory blood pressure. Masked hypertension was ambulatory hypertension in participants with a normal conventional blood pressure. Sustained hypertension was hypertension on both conventional and ambulatory measurements.
