Analysis of sc-seq data for early disease detection. (A) The sc-seq data obtained from a brain biopsy can be visualized in the form of a UMAP embedding, where each cell is represented by a dot. Cells (dots) with similar phenotype (transcriptome or epigenetic marks) cluster together, which are assigned to cell types based on prior knowledge. (B) Clusters in A might contain cells undergoing transition, such as differentiation or cell cycles, which can be visualized by means of trajectory analysis.
