The attenuated replication of SARS-2 nsp15mut relative to WT in primary nasal ALI cultures is IFN-mediated. Primary nasal ALI cultures were treated with either DMSO or RUX at a concentration of 10 µM for 48 h prior to infection. Cultures were then infected with either WT or nsp15mut SARS-CoV-2.
