Figure 2.

Figure 2 (top): This is the Place Royale in a sunny day. The ground is made of grey bricks and slopes a little. The square is surrounded by buildings, but the space is very large, and almost completely clear. On the left we see a wooden terrace with closed red umbrellas. On the right there is a statue, located on a round landing of about two meters in diameter separated from the ground by three steps. Around it, there are wooden benches and flowerpots. Two people are sitting on a bench and others are further out in the square. At the very back, there is the Church of Our Lady of Victories, with its trapezoidal staircase. Figure 2 (bottom): This is the Rue du Petit Champlain, which has a grey cobbled floor and a passageway nearly four metres wide. There are buildings on both sides, and there are three or four steps to get into the ones on the right. On the left, there is a door to a building on the ground floor. The shops in the buildings have many brightly coloured signs and accessories. There are a few people in the distance. The place is well lit despite the grey sky.
