The raincloud (half-density) plot (top) enhances the traditional boxplot (middle) by highlighting multiple modalities (an indicator that groups may exist) and how distributions vary compared to the median and inner-quartile range. The half-dotplot (lowest), which is similar to a histogram, indicates the number of samples (number of dots) in each bin.
