E-selectin expression is inhibited by the PKC inhibitor bisindolylmaleimide-1. EC were treated with PEP005 in the presence of a number of PKC and MAP kinase inhibitors. Only bisindolylmaleimide 1 consistently reduced the expression E-selectin mRNA as assessed by TaqMan PCR.
