Specificity of induced immune responses. The specificity of the immune responses against the SialylTn carbohydrate antigen (a) and mAb17-1A carrier protein (b) was confirmed by depletion experiments. PS or IS, or IS depleted by incubation with Sepharose beads coupled to mAb17-1A (mAb), SialylTn–mAb17-1A, SialylTn–HSA, HSA or LeY–HSA, respectively, were measured for antibody titers against SialylTn (a) or mAb17-1A (b) by ELISA.
