Treatment of A498 kidney cancer cells with PtdIns-homologues in combination with bv-sPLA2 inhibits proliferation. Cells were left untreated (C control), were treated with bv-sPLA2 (10 μg/ml), with the indicated PtdIns-homologue (each at 10 μM) or a combination of bv-sPLA2 plus the indicated PtdIns-homologue. Light bars demonstrate the effects of single compounds on the proliferation, whereas dark bars depict the combined action of bv-sPLA2 plus the indicated PtdIns-homologue.
