Virulizin-induced infiltration of macrophages and NK cells into tumors. Tumors were collected from mice treated with saline or Virulizin at the end of the experiments described in Fig. 1. Immunohistochemical staining for F4/80 (ab) and NK1.1 (cd) was performed on the paraffin-embedded tumor sections as described in “Materials and methods.” The number of both F4/80 and NK1.1 immunopositive cells in tumors was increased markedly in the Virulizin-treated group compared with those in the saline-treated group.
