Log2 fold change and average expression levels (cpm) of important lipid metabolism genes in salmon liver. All comparisons represent key life stages relative to freshwater parrs (week 1). These include just after shortened photoperiod (week 10 vs 1), after smoltification in freshwater (week 19 vs 1), and after seawater transfer (week 25 vs 1). Genes found differentially expressed (FDR<0.05) across life stages (Fig 2A) are marked with an asterisks (*) next to their gene name.
