Inhibitory effect of FVF and UPF on the coagulant activity of B. jararaca, B. jararacussu, and B. neuwiedi venom. B. jararaca (A), B. jararacussu (B), and B. neuwiedi (C) venom was incubated for 5 min at 37 °C with saline or with FVF or UPF at a 1:10 ratio of venom to polysaccharide. After incubation, an aliquot was added to plasma (white columns) or fibrinogen (black columns), and the coagulation time was monitored in seconds (s).
