Schematic diagram of the potential mechanism by which Faecalibacterium prausnitzii ameliorates intestinal injury induced by sleep deprivation. A feasible mechanism is that the colonization of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii ameliorates impaired intestinal barrier function in SD mice through regulating intestinal inflammation, programmed death, and the gut microbiota.
