Root architecture traits in Arabidopsis thaliana accessions belong to haplogroups C and H and show contrasting sensitivities to salt. Measurements on tolerant (Col-0, Ty-0) and salt-sensitive accessions (Sha and MIB-60) were carried out in 5-day-old seedlings maintained under control conditions or after 5 days of moderate (75 mM NaCl) and severe (150 mM NaCl) salt treatment.
