Artificial sweeteners affect the gut microbiota and endocrine response. Artificial sweeteners from different dietary products can affect the microbial gut composition via activation of taste receptors linked to the modulation of, eating behavior, glucose tolerance and handling insulin sensitivity and inflammation.
