The molecular mechanism of Arid2-IR in normal or inflammation. Under normal condition (left panel), Arid2-IR mainly locates in nuclei and negatively regulates the transcription of NLRC5. In renal injury(right panel), Arid2-IR is induced by TGF-β1, whereas elevated Flna induced by inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β) traps Arid2-IR in cytoplasm prevent its nuclear translocation and activate NF-B-driven renal inflammation by targeting NLRC5
