Anti-IFN-γ inhibits recovery from FV-induced splenomegaly in H-2^b/b mice. Following infection with 150 SFFU of FV, H-2^b/b mice were given either 0.5 ml of 0.5-mg/ml anti-IFN-γ (XMG1.2) or 0.5 ml of 0.5-mg/ml rat Ig (Sigma, St. Louis, Mo.) intraperitoneally, every 3 days starting on the day of infection and ending at 21 days postinfection. Mice were palpated for splenomegaly as described previously (18). Data are presented as the percentage of splenomegalic or dead mice of 8 to 10 mice per group.
