Confirmation of selected alternative 5′ss splicing events identified through mRNA-seq analysis. Events were detected by Cy3 RT-PCR followed by separation on 6% polyacrylamide denaturing gels. The sequences of each alternative splicing event and the location of splice sites are indicated above the gels. Quantification of gel band intensity to determine relative alternative splice site usage is indicated below the gels.
