Figure 3. — Wings (A-C) and eyes (D-F) were dissected from staged pupa and stained for E2F transcriptional activity (anti-GFP for PCNA-GFP reporter) at the time points indicated. Animals were collected as white pre-pupa (0h APF), staged to a postmitotic stage of 24–28h APF and heat-shocked for 20 min. to induce Gal4 expression driving E2F (UAS-E2F1+UAS-DP) or CycD +E2F (UAS-Cyclin D + UAS-Cdk4 + UAS-E2F1+UAS-DP) postmitotically. Tissues were collected and stained at 40–44h APF.
