The analysis is performed separately for eukaryotic species (green bars), bacterial species (red bars) archaeal species (blue bars). The y-axis lists five most frequent (the corresponding number of annotated proteins is shown inside the brackets) and significantly enriched functions/components (p value < 0.001 and enrichment > 30%). The x-axis shows the enrichment measured as relative increase in frequency when compared to the size and chain length matched set of randomly chosen proteins from the same domain of life. Details of the calculation are explained in “Materials and methods”. The functions/cellular components are sorted, within each group, by the number of annotated proteins
