Lumbar spinal cords of 1,25(OH)2D3 treated and vehicle EAE mice were harvested at day 30 p.i. for immunostaining. Representative images indicate (A) CD4+ T cells and (B) CD11b+ microglia/macrophages. Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). Quantitative analysis of numbers of (C) CD4+ and (D) CD11b+ cells per mm2 in the spinal cord.
