Bone marrow transplantation restores choroidal neovascular lesion formation in Mmp13-deficient mice. Mice were irradiated (recipient mice) and engrafted with bone marrow (BM) before laser-induced CNV. Quantification of lesions was performed by analysing the size of the lesions on choroidal flatmounts (a) and histological sections (b) (b/c ratio as described in “Materials and methods” and in Fig. 1).
