Antitumor effects of rAAV expressing mTOR shRNA with cross-species activity. HeLa (a, b) and B16-F10 (c, d) cells were infected with rAAV expressing mTOR shRNA or control shRNA and implanted into nude mice, as described in “Materials and methods.” Tumor growth and body weight were monitored every 1–3 days. After killing the animals, tumors were removed, weighed, and prepared for further analysis. e, f Eleven days after implanting NCI-H292 cells into the shoulders of nude mice, 1.5 × 1011 v.g. of either virus was intravenously injected.
