Expression of defensin genes in mouse primary tracheal epithelial cells. RNA was prepared from female C57BL/6 tracheal epithelial cells (unstimulated or stimulated with LPS for 30 min), and RT-PCR was performed as detailed in Materials and Methods with primers for three murine β-defensin genes (Defb1, Defb14, and Defr1) and for the housekeeping gene Hprt.
