Expression of major tegument proteins. Vero cells were infected with FDL51, FDL51R, YK304, or HSV-1(F) at an MOI of 3. The cells were harvested at 24 h postinfection, and an equivalent amount of protein from each sample was subjected to sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and analyzed by Western blotting with rabbit antiserum against UL51, UL48 (VP16), UL46, or UL49 (VP22) proteins.
